Session Description: This session focuses on how we moved our new employee orientation from an instructor-led "presentation" to an engaging, self-directed process. We'll explore the reasons for and results of change, our design/development process and obstacles faced. As this included moving ILT material to an online, recorded presentation, we'll also discuss the tools we used and how this orientation continues to be friendly, engaging and welcoming through the use of videos and additional resources.

As promised, I've attached below a couple screen captures of two of the slides that many of you were requesting - the "Main Menu" and the Benefits menu.  Moving forward, I'll be posting an abbreviated version of the final "recorded" version (minus the Experian-specific information).

 

Unfortunately, since the conference, I've been travelling a great deal and have also been out sick for a week - so bear with me!

I'd like to invite you to attend this session.  Besides showing you our finished, online version of our Orientation presentation/site, I'm also going to talk with you about the entire process that we went through.  As you'll see, a large part of our process involved overcoming a great deal of internal resistance and hopefully you'll be able to learn from what we did, as well as learn from those taking part in this session.

 

In addition, what we've completed is only the first step in the re-invention of our On-boarding process.  I'd like to get into discussions with you about possible next steps for us, as well as for all of you.  Let's connect in Orlando!
