Session Title: PepsiCo's Finance University: Global Implementation Lessons Learned

Room Location: Coronado C

Day and Time: Tuesday, 2:45pm - 3:45pm

Session Format: Learning Story

Led By: Brad Haime - Organization & Management Development, PepsiCo

Led By: Hilary Brandman - Training Analyst, Organization and Mgmt Development, PepsiCo

Session Description: Three thousand Finance associates are embedded in PepsiCo's offices, manufacturing facilities and warehouses around the world. Until the implementation of Finance University, they had limited formal skill development. Our approach to secure sponsorship, governance and the right experts, along with an unorthodox approach to defining curriculum, has resulted in a popular and engaging set of learning tools, enabling PepsiCo to build a global community of Finance professionals who are better prepared for cross-business talent moves and more aware of their work's implication on other roles.

* Aligning a program with the CFO's agenda to gain support from his/her direct reports in a declining economy

* Efficiently defining skills to focus on and key tools to use when pulling content from end users and their managers

* Creating a technical learning experience for the end user that is more than just a "course"
