Led by: Tony Bowie - SwRI
Principal Specialist
Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) Human Resources
Mr. Bowie has over 23 years of experience in leadership, management, training, and computer disciplines. He is experienced in client-server as well as Web based training development and delivery. He has developed classroom instructional aids, performed training analysis, developed courses for stand-up instruction, taught instructor-led courses, and analyzed feedback in support of a variety of clients in Government and industry. He is an experienced project manager having a number of efforts to his credit including SwRI Internal Research and Development (IR&D) projects.
Currently, he is leading efforts in the SwRI Staff Development Office to transform some traditional stand-up training courses for delivery over the Institute intranet. The online courses, combined with traditional stand-up instruction and commercial off-the-shelf vendor offerings will provide vastly more training opportunities for Institute employees regardless of their physical location. This three pronged, blended approach to employee development will maximize opportunities for the Institute staff to increase their knowledge and expand their skills regardless of their physical location. Additionally, he schedules, arranges, facilitates, and teaches instructor-led courses and seminars designed to enhance the knowledge of Institute employees in a variety of technical, professional, and management areas.
