Title: Creating Lifelong Learners With Extreme Blending
Session Number: 729
Room: Coronado G
Day and Timeslot: Tuesday - 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Formats: Learning Story
Session Description: It's a major struggle to move from instructor-led training to a blended learning environment especially when no one defines "blended" the same way. How do you transition a global company from the "death by PowerPoint" approach to an individualized learner-centric solution? How do you solve for limited budgets, the need for localization and multiple groups of learners who are all at different levels of expertise? Let's discuss the failures, successes and visions for the future.
Led by: Shauna Shipley and Lisa Stark - Autodesk, Inc.

After the Session: Thank you everyone who attended this session. Lisa and I really appreciated your enthusiasm and interest - as well as your willingness to do a movement-oriented activity in a tight room.
Lisa is typing the notes from the session. I'll also attach the slide deck and add a few URLs relating to items that we discussed. One is a link to a learning game on change management from Indiana University. Since many people mentioned the need to influence others within your organizations to adopt new technology, this might be a fun exercise to try as well as good practice and an interesting example of a web-based game.
If you have any questions or comments, please add them.
