Session Title: From Total Outsourcing to Total Inhousing: A Continuum of Decisions

Session Number: 433

Room: Coronado A

Day and Timeslot: Monday - 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Formats: Discussion

Session Description: What is the best way to develop custom on-line learning solutions? We have found out that there is no one answer to this question. Whether you outsource some or all of your development will depend on a variety of factors. In this session, our team members will share considerations that have affected their decision to tackle some projects themselves or pass the baton to vendors on others. Benefits and drawbacks of each approach will also be discussed.

  • Factors to consider when making the inhouse or outsource decision
  • Problems you should watch out for
  • Which jobs should you probably inhouse or outsource?
