Session Title: Next Gen Workers and Learners

Session Number: 343

Room: Yucatan 1/2

Day and Timeslot: Monday - 1:45pm to 2:45pm

Formats: Discussion

Session Description: What do Next Gen's want, need, deserve and present as a learning challenge? Let's move beyond the stereotypes to look at how the youngest slice of our workforce learns, works, collaborates and even plans their careers differently. How do we retain, deploy and engage the power of the Next Gen workforce? We will have representatives of both Next Gen and other generations to address:

  • Are we stereotyping or are their real generational differences in learning requirements?
  • What does multi-generational learning design imply? Do we just give every young person an iPod and game?
  • How can we mix the generations for mentoring, reverse mentoring and cool collaboration?

Led by:

Michelle Lotti - General Electric

Karen Santiso - Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu
