Session Title: Media & Learning Industry User Group

Session #: 118

Location: Fiesta 4

Session Format: Industry Session

Engage in an interactive benchmarking dialogue with other colleagues from the Media field in this special MyIndustry Learning User Group. We will compare notes about how "Learning is Changing", including:

  • Instability in the media industry (mergers, changing business models): what are the impacts on employee morale and development? How has this impacted the learning function?
  • Meeting the needs of a distributed workforce, especially remote offices and bureaus: what technologies and approaches are you using? What is working (or not working) and what happens as technologies evolve as you use them?
  • Department staffing: do we need more SMEs from the business or more technology or a mix. What type of skills does the trainer of the future need? How do we prepare?
