Engage in an interactive benchmarking dialogue with other colleagues from the Transportation and Logistics field in this special MyIndustry Learning User Group. We will compare notes about how "Learning is Changing", including:

  • Workforce Issues: the expectations and demographics of our workers in a heavily operational workplace
  • Corporate/Commercial Issues: a dynamic/volatile industry, outsourcing trends, many external variables (fuel, politics, regulations)
  • Compliance Issues: multiple regulatory bodies, focus on operational compliance, move to competency-based compliance

Elaine Wilson, British Airways

 

Elaine Wilson heads up the eSolutions and Professional Training team at British Airways. She has enjoyed a varied career, including roles in Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, IT and now Training, always having a keen interest in how technology can be used to deliver real business and customer benefit. Elaine has been influential in the development and implementation of the British Airways eLearning strategy from the development of the concept through to the service offered to all employees today. Elaine has a passion for learning and holds an MBA from the Open University in the UK.

Murry Christensen, JetBlue

 

Murry Christensen is the Director - Learning Technologies for JetBlue University, in which role he is responsible for the overall strategy and development of advanced learning tools. Previous work experience includes 6 years at the investment bank Goldman Sachs, two stints as a performance/learning consultant and several new media start-ups. Murry’s academic background includes BA and MA degrees from the University of Michigan. In addition to living in Manhattan and New Jersey, he also spends time in Second Life, where he’s alternatively (and virtually) known as MC2 Plisskin and/or ReiToei Xingjian.

Linda Al Ansari, Emirates Airlines

 

Linda Al Ansari is currently heading curriculum design and development for a global workforce of over 30,000 employees at Emirates Airline, where she has worked for the past 12 years. Based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Linda’s professional focus has been in the fields of corporate learning, educational technology, IT skills development and performance management, having worked in these areas for the past 25 years across the UK, Netherlands and Middle East. Linda graduated with an MSC in Computer Science from the University of Glamorgan in the UK, specializing in the application of artificial intelligence to learning and development. Outside her professional role she also serves as chair of the IT Advisory Committee for the United Arab Emirates Higher Colleges of Technology and is an active member of various learning and development focus groups both regionally and internationally.
